La 880.001 è dal maggio 2006, di proprietà della Società Veneta Ferrovie, associazione di promozione sociale con sede a Padova, grazie alla donazione dei fratelli Marchiorello, proprietari delle Officine di Cittadella.
Ma innanzitutto SVF è la custode di questa simpatica locomotiva, erron威而鋼
eamente considerata da manovra, la prima di questo gruppo di infaticabili locotender: la 001 esiste da prima di SVF e dei suoi soci e lo spirito con cui l’associazione si è presa l’impegno di rimetterla in funzione è quello di tramandarla alle future generazioni, proseguendo il lavoro di preservazione portato avanti dalle maestranze del Deposito Locomotive di Udine tra gli anni ’70 ed ’80 ed in seguito da quelle delle Officine di Cittadella, alle quali va la nostra gratitudine.
La 880.001 verrà riportata in pressione con un lungo e paziente lavoro che presumibilmente durerà quattro anni e che verrà documentato su questo sito: l’associazione intende seguire le direttive della Carta di Riga, il documento della Fedecrail in cui sono contenute le linee guida per il recupero ed il restauro di rotabili e infrastrutture ferroviari.

Since May 2006 Locomotive 880.001 belongs to Società Veneta Ferrovie, a "social promotion" society in Padua, thanks to the generosity of the owners of the Officine di Cittadella (Cittadella Workshops), the Marchiorello brothers.
But, most of all, SVF is the custodian of this nice locomotive, first of
this class of idefatigable tank engine and wrongly considered by some a shunter: engine number 001 existed far before the SVF and all its members. The society is committed to preserve the and then hand it to the future generations, continuing the task of the Udine Locomotive Depot workers (in the ’70 and ’80) and then of the Cittadella Workshops workers, workers that we thank with true gratefulness.
Engine 880.001 will be brought back in steam with a long a careful work expected to last for four years and that will be documented in this site: the association wants to follow the the
Riga charter, the Fedecrail document containing the guidelines to follow when recovering and restoring of rolling stock and railway infrastructure.
